Job Goal
The goal of a Foreman is to responsibly oversee the job daily consturction operations and to ensure the completion of the project in a safe and efficient manner.


  • Client Relations
    • Communicate job timeline and expectations
    • Conduct weekly client meetings
    • Assure job site is always “client ready”
  • Job Scheduling
    • Work with the Project Manager to create and adjust project schedules
    • Assess daily and weekly job labor requirements
    • Assign and explain daily tasks to the team
    • Schedule and supervise all carpenters and trade partners
    • Schedule tools needed beyond the normal day to day needs
    • Schedule all construction inspections
  • Job Management
    • Maintain job schedule
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the job
    • Troubleshoot problems as they arise
    • Maintain accurate records of all work done on the job
    • Maintain all MHB checklists
  • Job Oversight
    • Provide regular project updates to the Project Manager
    • Assure compliance with MHB quality standards
    • Arrange transport of any specialty tools needed for the job
    • Coordinate punch list work
    • Verify material delivery schedule
    • Receive and inspect deliveries
    • Maintain job site cleanliness
    • Assure that the job site sign is installed and maintained throughout the project
  • Job Safety
    • Ensure job site safety
    • Confirm that all trade partners are following safety procedures

  • Ability to communicate with clarity and respect with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and colleagues
  • Effective at solving problems in a manner that balances client needs, current schedules, and awareness of the financial impact
  • Ability to work independently, accurately representing the values and goals of the company
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management

Education / Experience

  • Proven work experience as a job Foreman or similar role
  • An ability to prepare and interpret, schedules, blueprints, and action plans
  • Experience with managing people
