Musser Home Builders Chosen to Lead the Build

Dillsburg, PA – Musser Home Builders will lead the way to surprise one deserving family in the South Central Pennsylvania region with an extreme home makeover in one week as part of the Emmy award-winning reality TV show, ABC’ s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

Musser Home Builders was chosen as the contractor for this “Extreme” build due to its reputation for involvement in the community. Locally, in 2010, Musser Home Builders teamed up with ABC27 in Neighbors Helping Neighbors to help local families who are struggling to cope with life’s problems. Musser utilizes their home remodeling and construction abilities to lend a hand to both large and small projects.

Jeff Musser, owner, believes that this project will surely help one family but extends well beyond the one week project. “Everyone who will be involved, at EVERY level will be touched by their involvement. Every volunteer, every worker, everyone who gives an hour or a week will have the opportunity to be immersed in something that is much bigger than any single individual. I truly believe that this will be a life changing time for all of us. When we all get together to help one family in one week, it will inspire us to help each other through a lifetime of generosity.”

Musser Home Builders will be responsible for overseeing the project’s planning, construction and event management, while upholding the highest standards of quality craftsmanship, design, and energy efficiency. Not only will this project be built in one week, but all products and labor will be donated by partnering trades and suppliers. The Home Builders Association of

Metropolitan Harrisburg will be giving much needed and appreciated support to the project. It will take thousands of volunteers both skilled in construction and unskilled to perform the job successfully.

“We have always believed in giving back to our community and we are excited about helping some very deserving individuals,” said Jeff Musser. “When Extreme Makeover: Home Edition called us, there was no doubt we were willing to take on the challenge of organizing the building of a new facility in one week.”

Several finalists within the South Central Pennsylvania region are being considered for the build, all of whom have been deemed to be a worthy cause and have the need. In mid-June, a family will be surprised by Ty Pennington, team leader of the show, and the design team when they hear a knock at their door.
